James Barnes, Cleveland HomeGrown Heroes winner for Entrepreneur Under 30

CLEVELAND, Ohio – We’re pleased to announce James Barnes as winner of the cleveland.com HomeGrown Heroes award in the Entrepreneur Under 30 category.

Barnes, along with 11 additional winners, will be recognized at the second annual cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer HomeGrown Heroes Award Reception tonight -- Nov. 13 -- at smARTspace at 78th in Cleveland.

HomeGrown Heroes celebrates the unsung heroes of our community who are working tirelessly on their start-ups, businesses, innovations and social organizations to fuel the economic development of our region.

Barnes is the founder and CEO of Immaculate Cleaning. A Cleveland native, Barnes started his commercial cleaning company in 2011 at age 18 and has grown it significantly, now employing eight people. The company is proud to use sustainable and bio-renewable cleaning solutions and supplies.

At 14, Barnes began his first microenterprise as a student at the Whitney M. Young Leadership Academy.
